As a Business & Data Analyst, you will join a high-performing product team where your contribution is visible from day one. You will work alongside experienced colleagues on our reporting dashboard and regulatory reporting solutions, combining business analysis, data analysis and technology.
We are open to both final-year students looking for an internship with the potential to continue their career at Palana, and recent graduates or junior professionals with up to two years of experience. The scope and level of responsibility will be adapted to the candidate's experience and type of contract.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to the day-to-day development and support of our reporting dashboard, progressively taking on greater ownership under the guidance of a senior team member
- Analyse and document business processes, client needs, regulatory requirements, data flows and computation requirements to support the design of effective solutions
- Write and adapt SQL queries to analyse data, validate figures and prepare data used in dashboards and regulatory reports, using AI tools where relevant and critically reviewing their output
- Contribute to backlog preparation, testing and validation of product releases, ensuring that agreed requirements are accurately reflected in the delivered solution
- Participate in interactions with clients and internal teams, including developers, product owners and sales, and produce clear, professional documentation and user guides

Apply critical thinking to identify data inconsistencies, investigate issues and contribute to proposing appropriate corrective actions
Must Have
- Final-year student, Bachelor's or Master's degree in a numerate and logical discipline such as Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or a related field
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, with a strong interest in data and technology
- Ability to analyse, structure and distil information from data, business requirements and complex written materials
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Curious, proactive and hands-on mindset, with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Right to work in Luxembourg (EU/EEA national or valid work permit)
Nice to have
- Previous internship or up to 2 years of professional experience in data, business analysis, reporting or a related field
- Experience using AI assistants to prototype, analyse or troubleshoot while critically reviewing their output
- Knowledge of the investment fund or broader financial services industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Additional languages
